AGE Peterhead require a volunteer chairperson to oversee the running of the longstanding local charity someone with computer knowledge would be an advantage. We envisage the successful applicant will be semi or fully retired, have an ability to get on with volunteers and clients, be motivated to improve and expand the organisation aims.
The Chairpersons role consists of supervising the duties of 15 volunteers. for a few hours a week. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for someone who feels they can make a positive contribution to the community through our transport, befriending, mobility aid and respite holiday services.
•To provide a comprehensive and practical service for the elderly and disabled people living in Peterhead and the surrounding areas - Including transport for local Organisations • Befriending to the housebound and lonely. A caravan holiday for pensioners, veterans, disabled or carers who need a break from their caring duties.
Experience required: Good correspondence and communication skills. Empathy and dedication to helping the elderly and disabled in the community would be an advantage. Computer knowledge
