Volunteer Shop Assistant - Lanark

St Andrew's Hospice store on High Street, Lanark is reopening on Monday 17th August 2020. We are looking for volunteers. With the support of the Shop Manager, volunteers will have the opportunity to undertake a full range of tasks including: Stock sorting, pricing and rotation Operating EPOS till system Engaging with the public, assisting customers and answering telephone General housekeeping Promote the gift aid scheme and work of St Andrew's Hospice Volunteers can be assured that full measures are in place to ensure the shop is Covid secure.

Organisation aims and objectives

The objects of the Charity (the Objects) are the relief of sickness and disability in furtherance of the aims, chartism and ethos of the Religious Sisters of Charity (the Congregation) and of any Mission Statement of St Andrew's Hospice which may from time to time be approved by the Members, In particular by: 3.1.1 the provision of palliative, nursing, medical, and other care services for those in need at St Andrew's Hospice or at any other facilities or in the homes of patients; 3.1 .2 the provision of pastoral care services for the spiritual welfare and support of patients, 'relatives and staff particularly through the agency and active work of the Congregation; 3.1.3 the provision of education and research Into any aspect of the care of sick or disabled people or of the service provided by St Andrew's Hospice or at any other facilities; 3.1.4 the provision of services to members of the Congregation who are in need.










Commitment 6 Months 3 Hours, Weekly Volunteers are asked to work one 3 hours per shift - morning (10am to 1pm) or afternoon (1pm to 4pm) although there can be flexibility around these times.
