An exciting opportunity to join the Under the Trees team, working in the great and beautiful outdoors whilst gaining valuable experience working with young children and young adults. You will potentially be working in all weathers and in all seasons - we can provide waterproofs! Under the Trees runs fun and educational sessions for school children in the Falkirk and Stirling areas, as well as a programme of public events for all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Events run all year round. As a Volunteer Education Assistant, there will be opportunities for you to do a range of the following: - Assist with Educational Sessions for school groups, including term-time forest schools. - Assist with sessions for the general public, including a monthly nature club for ages 0-13. - Assist with holiday play sessions and family events. - Plan and lead in activities. - Maintain resources effectively. - Keep session areas safe and tidy. - Desk-based activities in planning, creating materials and administration.

Murton Trust is a registered charity and Murton Farm, Tea Room and Nature Reserve is also a popular visitor attraction based 2 miles outside of Forfar, Angus and our volunteer programme is for anyone aged 14 and over. We are a small, friendly team involved with running the RSPB Loch Lomond Nature Reserve in Gartocharn. We are looking for someone to help with keeping our new, improved facilities spick and span. We have recently installed a new toilet block, complete with Changing Places facility, and new office and kitchen spaces for staff and volunteers. We would love for someone to help us to keep these in good condition for visitors, volunteers and staff, by completing a couple of hours of cleaning each week. This role could be ideal if you would enjoy a regular task that is mostly inside and involves only a small amount of interaction with visitors, and helps us to continue with our mission to save nature in this beautiful location. As an added bonus it would be easy for you to go for a walk in the stunning surroundings before/after you've completed your tasks. We would be looking for a minimum of an hour a week, but this could increase depending on your availability. Suitable for under 18's. Looking after the animals in our busy centre generates alot of of cleaning and laundry and we need you help to keep on top of it! Can you spare a few hours a week to be part of the team? There are lots of tasks you can get involved in, including sorting and washing/drying laundry; assisting with general cleaning duties; keeping storage areas tidy . All of these little jobs are a HUGE help!
