We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to help us in our Charity Shop. If you love meeting new people, want to improve your skills or have an interest in fashion then this could be the ideal opportunity for you. Our shops help us to raise money so that we can support terminally ill patients and their families in the community.

Your main tasks will be-
Sorting through donated items, keeping an eye out for any hidden gems.
Processing items for sale in the shop.
Serving our customers and making them aware of social distancing measures in store.
Serving our customers on the till.
Keeping the shop tidy and helping out with other related tasks like window displays.

Organisation aims and objectives

We provide care and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. This comes in the form of expert nursing care in one of our hospices, or in people's homes, as well as other services including our support line, helper service and online support.











Please explain why restrictions apply We are currently only able to accept volunteers aged 18 or over.
Experience required: We are ideally looking for a friendly and cheerful person who can work well with others. The ability to follow instructions is essential, due to the need to maintain physical distancing measures we have put in place. An interest in fashion or a knowledge of popular and good quality brands will be useful but is not essential. We are ideally looking for someone who is reliable and self motivated.
Travel details: The Marie Curie shop in Perth is located in Perth City Centre on Scott Street. Buses 2, 23A, 70 and 155 stop directly across the road from the shop, and the area is generally well served by public transport. The nearest parking to the shop is located on Scott Street, 1 minute’s walk from the shop. The address of the shop is 8 Scott Street, Perth, PH1 5EJ
Minimum age: 18


Expenses details: Travel expenses are available for volunteers. We will pay any reasonable out of pocket expenses for volunteers. Your volunteer manager will be able to help you claim any expenses you are owed.
