Description

Stirling Carers Centre supports unpaid carers in the Stirling Council area, irrespective of the condition of the person they care for. The services offered include: information, advice, a listening ear, benefit support, advice on rights, peer support and informal respite. Information enables people to make informed choices and decisions. Carers need various types of information to help them in their caring role and professionals working with carers also need information to support carers. Our Centre provides information in a range of formats i.e. Information Pack, Newsletter, Website. The Voluntary Administrator will play an important role in helping us deliver these services working with & assisting the Administration/Reception Officer and Communications Officer. This role will offer an opportunity to build on existing skills, learn something new and make a difference to the lives of carers.

Stirling Carers Centre offers support to unpaid Carers in the Stirling Council Area, irrespective of the condition of the person they care for. The services offered include: information, support, advice, welfare benefit checks, advice on rights and entitlements, etc. We also have a Young Carers Service that supports young carers through group work and 1:1 personal support.

Experience required: Sensitive in dealing with people; computer skills desirable but not essential; can work as part of a team; happy to research information sources.
Travel details: Stirling Carers Centre, Stirling Carers Centre, Kintail House, Forthside Way, Stirling, FK8 1QZ. Volunteers normally live locally and make their own travel arrangements. Virtual working through Microsoft Teams & Zoom should be expected but full training will be given. Expenses Detail The Centre pays standard public transport rates. Mileage is currently paid at 45p per mile, in line with Stirling Carers Centre policy
