GP and Minor Injuries Centre - Stirling Health and Care Village.
We are looking for volunteers to fill the last few gaps in the volunteering rota. Volunteers assist in providing a way finding service at the GP and Minor Injuries Centre between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday to Friday. The Centre houses three GP practices, the Minor Injuries Unit, X-ray and Ultrasound, Treatment room and a range of other occasional clinics.
Volunteers ensure that service users and relatives / carers are directed to appropriate reception desk and direct people to other services / buildings as and when required. They provide a friendly face to reassure and offer support to service users and relatives / carers . A blue IIR face mask must be worn and a Volunteer t-shirt is provided. The project is run by the Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP) and is primarily for the 50+ age group. RSVP is a project delivered by the national volunteering charity, Volunteering Matters.
Our vision is of a society where everyone can participate in their local community through volunteering and social action.
