Aberdeen Cyrenians have launched ‘Im Thinking of You’. It enables people to write a letter to tell someone you are thinking of them while they are isolated from friends and family during the Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. Aberdeen Cyrenians will distribute these to people via AC2U – their COVID-19 emergency service (in partnership with Aberdeen Foyer, CFINE and Social Bite). More information and the link to the online template to write and send a letter is available at https://www.aberdeen-cyrenians.org/get-involved/im-thinking-of-you

Organisation aims and objectives

Aberdeen Cyrenians is a voluntary organisation and one of Scotland's major charities, which aims to help homeless people by alleviating homelessness, through the provision of support and accommodation. We provide direct services for homeless people, aiming to help them to move forward with their lives. Since 1968, we have provided an increasing range of services for homeless people, and at present, we meet the needs of around 2,000 people each year. In the main, we provide hostel type accommodation, run a drop in centre, help service users in gaining rented accommodation, provide advice, information and emotional support and provide training and access to education and employment opportunities. We welcome and actively encourage the involvement of volunteers in a variety of areas to help us to open the doors wider for homeless people in Aberdeen.
