COVID-19 Shopping Volunteer

Description

During this pandemic we are looking for volunteers who are willing to carry out shopping for individuals who are either shielding or self isolating due to being vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus. Volunteers will be supported by the Market Place Lead, provided with a shopping list, name and address of the individual and an ID badge to ensure they are able to undertake the task.
Volunteering with the Community Hub COVID-19 response, you will be helping people who may be isolated and stuck in their homes with deliveries of food shopping and essential items, which they otherwise may not be able to obtain.
You must have no underlying health conditions, don't get a flu jag and be under 70 years old to be a Community Hub COVID-19 response volunteer.

Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire (SCIO) connects and supports volunteering, social enterprising activity and voluntary groups to make East Renfrewshire a better place to live.

Need to be under 70 years old, in good health and able to leave the house
Travel details: We will be covering the whole of East Renfrewshire but will as much as possible keep shopping trips to a local minimum distance to adhere to the national guidance

Training details: All volunteers will be provided with How To Guides relevant to volunteering within pandemic conditions and will have a named key contact for all queries during their time volunteering
