Branch Treasurer

Volunteer Branch Treasurer. The treasurer will record all financial activity of the Branch, specifically the receipt of monies from Benevolent Associations and subsequent payments to clients who have requested our assistance. This will include inputting of financial transactions on client computer application form. Preparation of accounts for external auditing at end of financial year. Administration of annuities for veterans. Close liaison with branch officers.

Organisation aims and objectives

To provide assistance to service and ex-service families whether it be practical support or financial assistance for those in need.










10 - 15 hours per week


Experience required: Finance and accounting experience. Computer literate. Able to produce spread sheets and accounts for annual audit.
Travel details: There is a branch office in Poppy Scotland 66 Logie Green Road, EH7 4HQ. Free parking available and frequent bus service. This post can also be done remotely from volunteers home.
Minimum age: 30


Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: SSAFA has a formal expenses claim form which is completed by the volunteer and submitted to Branch Secretary for authorisation. Expenses claim will be paid directly into volunteers bank account.
Training details: SSAFA The Armed Forces Charity invests in training volunteers . The Treasurer will be expected to attend a training course on the requirements of the role and technology used to support Branch financial activity.
