Description

We are looking for new volunteers to join our fun, friendly and progressive club at Dalry. The full club trains in one single session with dedicated coaches for each training group from our newest and youngest recruits up to our top training group. We are always looking for new ways to progress our swimmers and maintain our unique atmosphere.
As a coach, you would be responsible for the development of a group of swimmers. The club trains twice a week following our scheme of work.

Organisation aims and objectives

Grove ASC is an amateur swimming club in Edinburgh for school aged swimmers. We cater for a mix of abilities and pride ourselves in being a friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic club. Currently the club focuses on improving school aged swimmers' stamina and stroke development beyond swimming lessons.

Restrictions

Experience required: Level 2 Swim Teaching and/or Coaching qualification Experience with teaching and/or coaching swimming Passionate about developing swimmers in a positive and encouraging environment
Travel details: The club trains twice a week at Dalry Swim Centre, 25-29 Caledonian Cres, Edinburgh EH11 2AL. Parking is available in the surrounding streets. The pool is also accessible by bike and bus.
Minimum age: 18

Training details: We are always looking to develop our volunteers and will support them both on poolside and through additional courses that would benefit the club. We have lots of great connections with Scottish Swimming including other clubs and the Learn to Swim framework in Edinburgh.
