Description

The Donations Coordinator will be involved with picking up, sorting and organising donations for easy access and distribution to service users. They will provide support to staff in seeking donations required for service users.

Organisation aims and objectives

We enable a life off the street for people facing extremely difficult circumstances. We provide expert and compassionate support and advice and we work with people so they can resolve their homelessness as quickly as possible. People can receive services from our Holyrood Hub but we also go to them, either on the street or in their own accommodation.

Flexible as to availability and role, minimum of one 4 hour shift per fortnight, for a minimum of 6 months.

Restrictions

Experience required: Ideally the volunteer would have a drivers licence to be able to pick up donations. Good communication and organisational skills would be advantageous to the role.
Travel details: The volunteer role is based at our Crisis Centre, 22 Holyrood Road, Edinburgh and throughout Edinburgh.
Minimum age: 18

Support

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Streetwork will pay for any out of pocket expenses like travel costs.
Training details: Induction and training will begin when the volunteer starts. Support for volunteers is ongoing through this process and any identified training needs provided as appropriate.
