Description

This role is to be part of a group of fundraising volunteers in Edinburgh to run events and fun activities to raise awareness and funds for the British Red Cross.

Organisation aims and objectives

The British Red Cross is a volunteer-led humanitarian organisation that helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We enable vulnerable people at home and overseas to prepare for and respond to emergencies in their own communities. When the crisis is over, we help people recover and move on with their lives.

Restrictions

Experience required: The desired volunteer is sociable, a team player, organised, and enthusiastic.
Travel details: The location of volunteering will depend on the group activities but it is likely meetings will take place in Edinburgh Centre or at the Red Cross Office at West Point House, 69 North Gyle Terrace, EH12 8JY.
Minimum age: 18

Expenses details: There is an online portal.
Training details: There is an online induction training about the organisation and then the Senior Community Fundraiser will induct them into the role.
