Description

Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop has three areas of planted open ground alongside its purpose built sculpture making facilities adjoining the cyclepath on Hawthornvale in Newhaven. The original planting scheme is faring well but we need to be able to maintain it properly and are looking for someone who would be able to help us with this, either to discuss the best approach with members of staff and do some work on it, or to supervise some volunteers on specified work days.

Organisation aims and objectives

Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop was set up in 1987 with the same key aims as now - to provide professional support for artists at all stages of their career and to promote access to the visual arts, especially sculpture, through an inclusive programme open to people of all ages and abilities. Over the years, ESW has developed an excellently equipped facility for the production of visual art and has simultaneously built up a reputation for providing high quality education programmes and managing ambitious arts projects.
