This is a wonderful opportunity to support the Counselling staff in MYPAS on the administrative front to enable them to work more effectively with our young people in Midlothian who are struggling with their mental health.
The Administrator's role will involve:
Client related admin - supporting the Therapies team by updating the client database with new referrals and discharges, creating client files and maintaining a filing system.
General admin – ordering cleaning materials, facilities management, tidying drawers and cabinets, posting mail, greeting young people at reception, answering the phone and door.
Information – ensuring information relating to local signposting services and resource is updated and accessible

Organisation aims and objectives

Midlothian Young People's Advice Service (MYPAS) is an independent community based organisation that provides a wide range of integrated and creative services to improve young people's health and well being across Midlothian. We employ a youth work approach using a variety of methods to focus on young people's sexual health, mental health and substance use needs. Although we are a universal service we make specific efforts to target disadvantaged young people often working in partnership with voluntary and public sector partners. We operate from a central base in Dalkeith but provide a significant proportion of our serviceson an outreach basis with support being provided in venues that are accessible and acceptable to young people.
