Description

The Treasurer’s role is to control financial transactions, ensure that correct financial records are maintained and that annual accounts are published. Duties will include managing the Trust’s bank account, keeping financial records, producing financial statements for Trustee meetings, processing expense claims, managing donations and paying invoices. The successful applicant will have experience as a Treasurer, preferably within the charity sector.

Organisation aims and objectives

The Trust is the only Scottish support group for people living with Neuroendocrine Cancer. Through regular events, meetings and fundraisers, the Trust aims to raise awareness of this less common disease to the general public, patients and the medical community.

Approximately 10-12 hours a month.

Restrictions

Experience required: Skills in a financial operation environment are essential. Familiarity with internet and online systems and their security precautions and knowledge of MS Excel strongly desirable. Experience of the charity sector would be advantageous as would ability to produce spreadsheets and annual audits.
Travel details: Home based, with quarterly Board meetings at the Western General Hospital, EH4
