Description

Speyside Youth are a registered charity (SCIO), whose key aim is to advance the citizenship of young people, primarily those living within the Moray community boundaries of Speyside and Dufftown and
District, through a structured programme of support, opportunity and activity provided by our team of Youth
Workers.

Our vision is to provide opportunities for young people, to help them to develop life skills and empower
them to make a difference in the community by:

  • Establishing a community hub and outreach programme covering Speyside High School catchment
area, offering a wide range of projects and activities that will positively influence young people from all
social, ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds to integrate and become valued and active members of
    their community.
  • Promote a code of behaviour for all young people attending the Youth Café and mobile unit,
  • Providing a safe and inclusive place where young people can meet and socialise away from
    negative pressures,
  • Providing all aspects of personal development for young people who are members of Speyside
Youth through 1 to 1 support with trained Youth Workers,
  • Providing learning experiences through team-based activities, social enterprise, and volunteering
    for other local groups.

We currently have 5 Trustees however we are looking for 2 or 3 new members who can bring fresh, new
ideas to our group and help ensure we can continue to offer this valuable project to the young people of
Speyside.
