We are currently looking for Lead Retail Volunteers. Would you like to develop your management skills and work with our fantastic team of volunteers? We are looking for a friendly and organised person, who works well with others and can manage a team of volunteers. Our Lead Charity Shop Volunteers are shop volunteers who have additional responsibilities of opening and closing the shop and helping to ensure our volunteering team are confident and supported in their role. Full training will be provided so if you are looking to learn new skills and meet new people, please come and join our friendly team. In doing so you will help us raise vital funds for CHAS. Every pound raised makes such a difference to children and young people with a life-shortening condition.

Organisation aims and objectives

CHAS is a charity that provides the only hospice services in Scotland for children and young people who have life-shortening conditions for which there is no known cure. CHAS runs two children`s hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch, and a home care service called CHAS at Home.











Minimum age due to cash handling and key holder duties.
Experience required: We are looking for someone who is outgoing and friendly and enjoys working in a fast paced environment. In addition to the general shop tasks such as customer service and processing donations, we are looking for someone who will open and close the shop and help support and manage our team of volunteers.
Travel details: This will be based within our two charity shops in Kinross High Street.

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: CHAS reimburses reasonable out of pocket expenses incurred in the course of volunteering, including public transport on submission of receipts/tickets and car (current mileage rate = 45p), every month.
Training details: Volunteers receive a full induction as well as undergoing training modules specific to the role. All volunteers will be supported by the retail team and the Voluntary Services Coordinator to ensure they have the opportunity to enhance existing skills and to develop new ones to help them in their volunteer role.
