Our District Volunteers support local private gardens to open for charity. This is a fun and varied role for anyone who loves gardens.

District Volunteers work closely with garden owners to make sure that their opening is a success by helping with publicity, signage, admissions, refreshments, car parking and occasionally even some last-minute gardening! It is a very varied role that enables you to use and develop skills such as event management, communication, working with the general public and horticulture. Our volunteers are essential to the work that we do and our district teams are the lynch pin in our ability to raise nearly £400,000 for charity each year.
