We all need to stay at home to protect ourselves and others. However, those who are well and not at risk can provide essential support for their family, friends and neighbours who cannot leave the house.
Please note, organisations are currently experiencing a large volume of enquiries from people looking to help out. They may not always be able to meet this demand so please be patient, you may not receive a quick response or be assigned to a role.
The District Photographer works closely with Garden Openers to provide Scotland’s Garden Scheme with suitable photos for use in our Guidebook, website and promotional literature. We will always credit you for your photographs.
District Photographers work closely with the District Organiser and Garden Openers to ensure that SGS has a supply of suitable photos. Photographers attend garden openings to take photographs but may also visit the garden separately. This is a great way to explore beautiful gardens whilst honing your skills and gaining recognition for your work. The role is mainly active between January and September. We ask that you do not use and/or sell photographs taken at SGS events to any other organisation or business without seeking permission of the Garden Openers and SGS, but photographs can be used for your personal purpose e.g. photo contests, portfolio, your website; as long as it is not in conflict with SGS or Garden Openers’ requirements.
Scotland's Gardens Scheme raises money for charity by encouraging, promoting and supporting private gardens to open for charity.
