Description

This is an exciting opportunity for you to get involved by supporting our fundraising team. We support and arrange a large number of fundraising activities, events and collections across the country. We know everyone is different and will try to tailor the volunteering opportunity to suit you, your time and your skills. As a Red Cross volunteer you can proudly say you are part of the world’s largest humanitarian network.

Typical tasks may include: Organising collections on behalf of the Red Cross; Supporting with Red Cross week fundraising activity; Arranging your own fundraising activities or events with other volunteers and supporters; Generating interest in your community in what we do and how they can help; and Actively supporting or organising support and participation at events, walks, marathons and collections

Organisation aims and objectives

Support vulnerable people in UK and abroad to prepare, withstand and recover from community and personal crisis. Special services in UK include First Aid training, First Aid at public events and Health & Safety care focused on: Wheelchair loan, transport & escort, skin camouflage, and therapeutic care.

Restrictions

To prevent any issues with money handling or lone travel.
Experience required: Good interpersonal skills and confidence speaking to others, having initiative and team working would be useful too.
Travel details: Meeting locations will vary across Dundee
Minimum age: 16

Training details: You will be introduced to your line manager who will discuss the role with you. We will ask you to complete our British Red Cross Foundation Course e-learning.
