Description

Litter picking the towpaths and the water. Vegetation Control to widen the towpaths. Garden Maintenance at Calder Crescent. Painting the canal metal fencing surrounding locks & canal furniture metal and wooden. Graffiti removal from walls and bridges. These are some of the ways you will be able to help to ensure our beautiful canal side continues to flourish.

We look after the Scottish canals, conserving them as part of our heritage, and transforming them to play a vital role in Scotland today.

Restrictions

Experience required: There are no skills required.
Travel details: On towns and in the city next to the Union Canal.
Minimum age: 16

Taster available: Yes
Training details: Before we start work there is a Safety Induction given to the volunteers. This Induction is based on the Risk Assessments for the task.
