Description

WRHA is looking for volunteers to work on our heritage centre at Whitrope, from light tasks to heavy tasks restoring railway heritage. Tasks include:
Restoring railway carriages.
Maintaing footpaths and car park.
Painting fencing and carriages.
Repairs and painting locomotives.
Track maintenance.
Being a guard attending to the public as a guide.
Helping with teas, coffes, selling books etc

Organisation aims and objectives

To promote any activities associated with the Waverley route and its heritage; to maintain the heritage and restore items given to the heritage centre.

Saturdays between February and November, possible Sundays too.

Restrictions

Experience required: Painting skills, DIY skills,Engineering skills, Ability to lift heavy objects and use tools eg. jacks, welding, pinch bars.
Minimum age: 16
