This recently established charity, is looking for a volunteer willing to work a few hours each week to co-ordinate our volunteer members database, and to work closely with Board members to ensure that members are getting the most out of their membership to the group.
You would work closely with the Treasurer and the Publicity Officer, and you may be able to combine this post with either or both of these positions. It would be helpful, but not essential to become a Board member, in order to liaise with the other Board members on decision making. The charity is based in Woodside Walled Garden, Ancrum, Jedburgh. This is a voluntary position, with expenses being paid out on request.
WGWW illustrates how gardening in a manner which is attractive to wildlife, can have a positive effect on biodiversity, and is also beneficial to physical and mental health. WGWW strive to do this by maintaining a garden at Woodside which is open for anyone to enjoy, individually or in small groups
Experience required: The successful applicant will be someone who enjoys meeting other people, is organised and is able to accurately record information and is computer literate to a modest standard. Enthusiasm for the project is essential.
