Description

Assisting people on and off bikes, Taking bikes in and out of containers, Making adjustments to bikes and helmets to suit individuals, Buddying riders on two-seater bikes such as tandems and side by side trikes, Buddy/walking alongside riders on solo bikes/trikes, Assisting hand cyclists, Assisting people to learn to ride for the first time, Helping to keep the site clean and tidy.

Organisation aims and objectives

ABC - adaptive bikes enable people with additional needs to cycle. Play Together On Pedals – gets small kids started. Hand cycles – are for people with spinal issues or lower limb problems. VIE Velo provide tandems for people with visual impairment. Our aim is to get people cycling and smiles on faces.

Restrictions

Experience required: Essential: Good people skills, Friendly and reliable, Able to laugh. Desirable: Able to ride a bike, Has an understanding and is sympathetic to the needs of disabled people.
