Hub Volunteer – Walk Leader

Description

At the Active Travel Hub Ayr we're passionate about active travel through walking and cycling and its wider reaching benefits. We're working to make our communities healthier by changing travel habits and encouraging people to be more active. One of the key ways we're doing this is by taking part in events and activities aimed at developing partnerships that work to promote active travel in South Ayrshire.

Restrictions

Travel details: The Active Travel Hub is at Ayr Train Station, but walks will start and finish at various points across Ayr (ie Citadel and Seafield) Organising and carrying out a series of led walks in the local area for all members of the community to participate in. Promoting the walks and finding people who might like to take part will also be part of the role. There will also be a degree of recording and monitoring required (ie capturing how many attendees etc). Volunteer will receive Walk Leader Training (1 day course) Volunteer would be expected to attend some of our existing walks before attending the Walk Leader Training
