We all need to stay at home to protect ourselves and others. However, those who are well and not at risk can provide essential support for their family, friends and neighbours who cannot leave the house.

Hub Volunteer – Ride Leader

  • VO79716

At the Active Travel Hub Ayr we're passionate about active travel through walking and cycling and its wider reaching benefits. We're working to make our communities healthier by changing travel habits and encouraging people to be more active. One of the key ways we're doing this is by taking part in events and activities aimed at developing partnerships that work to promote active travel in South Ayrshire.

Organising and carrying out a series of led rides for people of various abilities, in the local area. Promoting the rides and finding people who might like to take part will also be part of the role. There will also be a degree of recording and monitoring required (ie capturing how many attendees etc).

Volunteer will receive Ride Leader Training (1 day course)
Volunteer would be expected to attend some of our existing rides before attending the Ride Leader Training
