Description

Duke of Edinburgh Leaders & Volunteers Required – Additional Support Need Groups
Fantastic opportunities are available to volunteer with some of our Perth based Duke of Edinburgh Award groups. Helping young people achieve their Duke of Edinburgh Award, we seek Leaders and Volunteers to support the running of the Open ASN, Young Carers and Letham groups. Groups meet once a week in the evening, mostly during term time and full training will be given with accredited qualifications where necessary. Volunteers will be involved with the planning and delivering of imaginative and varied activities to help the young people achieve each section of the Award – Physical, Skill, Volunteering and Expedition. Some of the groups include young people with varied additional support needs and any experience working in similar areas of support will be welcomed although not a necessity.

If you want to become a Duke of Edinburgh volunteer, please contact us at admin@pkdofe.com or call 01738 627455 / 07951 557979 for more information.

Organisation aims and objectives

The Association was set up to advance the mental, physical and spiritual welfare of young people between the ages of 14 and 25 by promoting the scheme of Awards known as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. In recent years, whilst maintaining the core function of the Association we have focused our activities on provision of support and experiential learning for targeted groups of young people with Additional Support Needs (ASN).
