Description

FRASAC are seeking Board members to help lead a fantastic organisation that supports people who have experienced rape and sexual assault.

The Board currently consists of five members who have the skills in several areas and collectively have many years' experience on FRASAC's Board. The organisation is currently looking to appoint new board members to grow their skillset and to help develop the organisation further.

Organisation aims and objectives

FRASAC is an independent voluntary organisation which offers a range of free confidential support services to anyone, male or female, who has been raped or sexually assaulted at some point in their lives.

Board meetings are currently help six-weekly on Tuesday evenings, but please note that there are additional meetings and training days throughout the year. This role can be taken for up to three years, thereafter another position on the Board can be held.

Restrictions

OSCR requires Trustees to be 18 or over.
Experience required: This voluntary position does not require formal qualifications. However, they are looking for skills and life experiences which compliment those of the current Board members.
Travel details: Board meetings take place in Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline.
Minimum age: 18

Support

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Mileage is paid monthly at 45p/mile, and other reasonable travel costs will be reimbursed.
Training details: Successful applicants will be provided with induction training and supported by the Chair of the FRASAC Board. Training will be provided as and when necessary.
