AbilityNet supports older people (55+) or anyone living with a disability or impairment to use technology to achiever their goals at home, at work and in education. We do this by providing specialist advice services, free information resources and by helping to build a more accessible world.

We are passionate digital accessibility and usability experts, here to ensure your websites, apps and digital documents are accessible, usable and comply with current legislation. We will work with your team at every stage of the project, providing the technical insight you need to reach people on every platform – giving your organisation an end to end digital accessibility strategy.

One of our services which I would like to Highlight to you is ITCANHELP. It is a free IT Support service to help older people (55+) and people with disabilities/long term health conditions use technology to achieve their goals. We have a network of friendly volunteers who can help with most major computer systems, laptops, tablet devices and smart phones. Due to Covid-19 volunteers are unable to visit anyone at home however support is being delivered remotely. We’ve seen a high amount of people get in touch with the service to help them keep in touch with friends and family, We’ve also seen a high amount of charities get in touch saying that they have staff who are struggling with technology so we want to be there ready to help third sector organisations such as yourself and any members.
