We all need to stay at home to protect ourselves and others. However, those who are well and not at risk can provide essential support for their family, friends and neighbours who cannot leave the house.

Description

Ability Net is an award winning charity looking for volunteers to support older people and people with disabilities with their tech at home. As an ITCanHelp volunteer you can help unleash the power of technology to ensure that older people and those with a disability are not excluded from the digital world.

Abilitynet is a UK Charity that provides free technical help and training to all gadgets and software for anyone over the age of 55 or anyone with a disability either at home, at work or at an agreed place such as a cafe.

The service is completely free and delivered by volunteers throughout the Western Isles and we need to recruit for more volunteers as the service continues to get busier.

You don't need to be an I.T Expert. It could be with something as simple as setting up an email account or help with an IPAD.

We ask for a minimum commitment of 2 hours per month and your expenses will be covered. We also provide training to volunteers delivered via webinar free of charge.
