ReConnect supports lonely and isolated older adults across rural Clydesdale with a variety of interventions - including telephone befriending calls, home visits and 1:1 support to get out and about. All our work is aimed at increasing confidence, self-esteem and social networks. This is an ideal volunteering opportunity if you want to make a positive difference to the lives of older people in your local community, make new friends and develop your skills.
Responsibilities will be:
Healthy Valleys is a community led health improvement organisation located in rural South Lanarkshire which aims to promote health and well being opportunities in order to reduce health inequalities.

1 - 3 hours per week. Flexible to suit both individual and volunteer
Volunteers must be 18yrs or over.
PVG Check and references will be required.
Experience required: Positive attitude, good organisational skills, caring and supportive, patient, able to respect individuals and ensure confidentially at all times, ability to motivate older people and communicate effectively with them and non-judgemental.
Experience of working and engaging with older people is desirable but not essential. Ideally but not essential the volunteer should have access to their own transport and have a clean full driving license.
