Abertarff House is the oldest surviving secular building in Inverness. Built around 1593, this laird?s house has had a colourful history and, following the end of its latest commercial lease, we?re inviting the public to cross the threshold and learn more about the house and other NTS sites in the region. We?re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with the opening of this unique heritage site. Tasks will include welcoming local and tourist visitors to the house, helping with special events, supporting the commercial offer on site and promoting awareness of other regional properties and the work of the Trust. This is an excellent opportunity to meet a variety of visitors and gain hands-on experience in a unique and fascinating heritage site, with privileged access to an outstanding historical building.
