This is an opportunity for someone with basic gardening experience and some time available to help residents of the charity to enjoy their gardens much more. The role is mainly light garden maintenance; grass cutting, pruning and tidying but with the hope that positive interactions with residents will also bring huge rewards. There is also a desire by the charity to expand this role to include supporting people with light gardening work in the wider community.

Organisation aims and objectives

To assist people with disabilities throughout the world, regardless of their colour or creed, by providing the conditions necessary for their physical, mental and spiritual well-being.


Experience required: We are looking for a reliable and responsible person who is able to perform light garden work. A car driver will be benificial to the role. All expenses paid. No care tasks are involved but the role is open to engaging a little with residents so that all concerned have positive and enjoyable experiences.
Travel details: Mainly in Dumfries, Glencaple, Annan-but all depending on the volunteer's availability to travel.
