We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers who can regularly give us four hours of their time per fortnight. We are currently open 2 days a week from 11am to 3pm and are hoping to increase our opening hours in the near future. This means undertaking a stock take of all our objects, ensuring the records we hold on them are correctly updated and that we can locate objects easily within our stores. We are looking for friendly, sociable people who will be able to help us out with our events and activities on board HMS Unicorn, including our talks, holiday activities, pirate fun days and school groups. You will assist with the organisation and running of these events, as well as contributing ideas for future events and activities. You will develop excellent communication, organisational and public engagement skills as well as a creative flair. Volunteers will be given relevant training and support by the Volunteering, Engagement and Learning Officer.
