Description

Beloved Rabbits are entering a new phase of ambitious development that seeks to improve the charity’s financial strength as we work towards a three-year plan that will culminate in the opening of a new purpose designed rabbit welfare services centre.

To support the organisation’s operational vision, a Fundraising Strategy is being developed to underpin the funding necessary to achieve these goals.

The Supporter Engagement Manager is one of four critical roles identified within the Fundraising Strategy necessary to meet the fundraising objectives. The role forms part of the charity’s two-tier management structure encompassing four charity trustees and 10 Management Team members. There is also a wider team of dedicated volunteers in excess of 80 individuals, which we anticipate growing in number as we expand our activities further.

The Supporter Engagement Manager would focus on creating a culture of engagement with the overall supporter base. This role recognises a need to address the gap left from more traditional fundraising techniques, engaging individuals who wish to support the charity’s activities but are unwilling or unable to take part in fundraising activities in a traditional sense.

The Supporter Engagement Manager will build relationships with various groups of supporters to encourage them to feel involved and emotive about the charity’s activities and needs, encouraging aspects such as regular giving, payroll giving, word-of-mouth awareness, legacy giving, etc.

Ultimately the Supporter Engagement Manager will encourage the “Fundraising Conversation”, backing our supporters and volunteers with the information and resources they need to keep a steady flow of cash coming into the organisation.

It is anticipated that, with the support of the Board of Trustees and Management Team, the Supporter Engagement Manager would recruit dedicated and casual volunteers to assist with the delivery of their activities.
