The Jean Mackie Centre is a Day and Respite Centre, currently supporting critical admissions since COVID. They have a garden, which is a lovely place for the Users of the centre to use and socialise in.
They are looking for volunteers to develop and maintain their low maintenance garden. This includes removing weeds, maintaining seating areas and walking areas, and generally tidying the garden to allow the Users to enjoy sitting outside. There is lovely paving, which is perfect for wheelchair users, but the weeds are growing fast due to the current change in weather.
Volunteers' help would be greatly appreciated by both the users and staff in the unit to bring the garden back to its former glory.
