Peer Mentor

  • VO78237

Description

Peer mentors provide support from people with experience of ME to people living with ME/CFS or their carers. The aim is to give both people an opportunity to develop and enhance their skills and capacity to self-manage.

Mentors need to be over 18 and live in Scotland and have the ability to focus on their mentee's needs. Training for mentors will be provided, and both one-to-one & group support is available.

Action For ME will provide information on how to create, manage and sustain a mentoring relationship. Mentors need to be able to support the mentoring relationship and meet their mentee on a regular basis (once or twice a month) either in person or through Skype/Zoom. If you want to use your experience of living with ME to support other people to manage their condition effectively and live a more fulfilling life then Action For ME want to hear from you.
