Volunteer Driver

  • VO77887

Description

Our organisation has access to minibuses at the weekends but often no-one is available to drive them, which means service users are unable to go out very far. Many service users enjoy going to a show or the cinema in the evenings but again are limited by transport difficulties. Ideally volunteer drivers will also be hapy to get a bit more involved with service users building their own rapport as well as providing a service by way of transportation.

Organisation aims and objectives

Unquestioning recognition of their full human rights. Standards of excellence in all aspects of care from both staff and volunteers. The support of a forward looking and responsive organisation, aware of their needs and those of their carers. The opportunity to take an effective part at every level in running our services. Partnership in a continuing endeavour to help others wherever the need may be in the field of disability.
