Description

The NTS is looking for volunteers to join their Conservation Volunteer Groups based in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth, Aberdeen and Inverness. If you're passionate about the great outdoors and have an interest in conservation, our single day and residential weekend projects could be just what you're looking for! You'll have the opportunity to:
Learn new skills such as drystone dyking, footpath maintenance and woodland management;
Meet new people, enjoy fresh air and exercise, and become actively involved in conservation and the Trust;
Work in beautiful gardens and stunning countryside throughout Scotland;
Attend training courses and lectures to enhance your understanding of countryside skills and conservation issues.

Organisation aims and objectives

The National Trust for Scotland is the conservation charity that protects and promotes Scotland's natural and cultural heritage. Volunteers play a vital role in this work, ensuring that our historic buildings and our natural environment are preserved for present and future generations to enjoy.

Restrictions

Experience required: Interest in the great outdoors and reasonably fit.
Travel details: Transport provided.
Minimum age: 18

Support

Expenses details: Projects are free to attend. Transport and refreshments are provided on day projects. Transport, accommodation, meals and refreshments are provided on residential projects.
