Woodwork Shop Volunteer

Description

If you enjoy helping others and have a love for woodworking, we have the perfect role for you. By donating your time, knowledge and talent you’ll help our members develop their skills and creativity in our fully equipped, purpose-build workshop. This is a rewarding volunteer role for the right person; you will support members with their tasks and projects, so your technical knowledge and experience will be key. Also important will be your interpersonal skills, as we’re looking for someone who can engage our members in conversation and support interaction between them.

As a volunteer, you will meet inspiring people, gain valuable experiences, and help us to change the lives of those who have served their country.

Organisation aims and objectives

Our vision is to see a community in which blind and partially sighted people, including those who have other disabilities, are fully included and lead fulfilling lives. Scottish War Blinded supports service veterans with vision impairment to maintain and increase their independence and improve their quality of life.
