Get off the Floor Volunteers

Description

Working in partnership with local agencies Roar Connections for Life wishes to recruit volunteers who will assist in the delivery of information sessions around advising the general public about the best methods of supporting people with falls prevention information and how to get off the floor safely after a fall. Volunteers will be trained by Roar staff in how to deliver these information sessions including physical demonstrations. The volunteers then take the information and practical demonstration which lasts approx. 20 minutes to local community groups around Renfrewshire.

Restrictions

Applicants must have the ability to undergo training and have sufficient strength and flexibility to demonstrate getting on and off the floor and to show members of the public basic strength and balance exercises.
Experience required: A genuine interest in community safety and falls prevention, good communication skills, interest in exercise and good interpersonal skills.
