Have fun, learn new skills and make a difference to the lives of older people in your area.

Bield Housing and Care are looking for volunteer Befrienders to join the team at retirement housing development, Turnbull Court, in Duns.
Bield volunteers help reduce isolation and loneliness by supporting older people in a variety of ways. Our Befrienders might visit someone in their own home, or offer companionship by helping them to get out and about locally. We are ideally looking for someone to help out weekly or once every two weeks, for just a couple of hours.
An induction day will be held for successful applicants and you will receive further training and ongoing support. Expenses will be provided and the minimum age for the role is 18 years old.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, we’d really love to hear from you!
