Sorting Donations Volunteers

  • VO76812

AberNecessities is a local, non-profit charity with the aim of supporting underprivileged families in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. AberNecessities provides families with the essential items (nappies, clothing, toiletries, cots, etc.) that they need to care for their babies and children, helping alleviate the pressure of bringing up a young family with limited resources.

Working with third sector organisations and childcare professional’s disadvantaged families are identified and subsequently provided with the essentials.

Whilst we have a group of wonderful volunteers, we are always looking for more. In particular we require volunteers to help us sort the kind donations that we are receiving on a daily basis. This includes unpacking bags of clothes, toys, equipment; sorting these items; organising clothes; cleaning toys and equipment.

A fantastic opportunity – all help makes a real difference to children and families across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

We believe every child deserves the best start possible in life, that’s why AberNecessities aims to provide support to the children of disadvantaged families across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Everybody, no matter their background and their lifestyle, experiences their own problems and difficulties, but as a parent, providing the basics for your child should never be one of them.
