Description

Home-Start Wigtownshire are now recruiting volunteers to work on the garden area at the Stranraer Office base.
We support families with at least one child aged 0-5 by home-visiting or through family groups once per week for 2-4 hours.

Organisation aims and objectives

Home-Start Wigtownshire is a voluntary organisation in which volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to young families under stress in their own homes. Helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown. Home-Start is available for any family with at least one child inder 5 years old The objects of the Charity are: a) to safeguard, protect and preserve the good health, both mental and physical of children and parents of children b) to prevent cruelty to or maltreatment of children c) to relieve sickness, poverty and need amongst children and parents of children d) to promote the education of the public in better standards of child care

Expenses details: Milage rage, public transport and childcare expenses for training. Paid monthly and if this is not suitable, then weekly.
