Treasurer/ Trustee vacancy
The Bighearted Scotland Charitable Trust was formed in 1994 when a group of charities decided to work together to raise vital funds for their individual causes. A donation to Bighearted Scotland works harder by helping a wide range of good causes for children, adults and animals with a range of issues including epilepsy, special needs, exclusion, animal protection, disability, cancer and mental health problems.
Now a company limited by guarantee (SC390449), we are currently looking to recruit a Treasurer/ independent Trustee, to add significant financial experience to the Board’s current skill set.
About the role
As Treasurer you will be responsible for maintaining an overview of the Charity’s financial affairs ensuring that proper financial procedures and records are maintained.
You will be a Board member, sharing responsibility for the strategic direction of the Charity, supporting the charitable objectives of Bighearted Scotland and ensuring sound governance.
Board meetings take place in Glasgow and Edinburgh quarterly and as for all Trustees of this charity, this is a voluntary, unremunerated role, where the rewards come from making a contribution to improving the lives and thousands of individuals and families across Scotland.
Applicants must be over 18 years.
