Match Buddy with St Johnstone FC

The Match Buddy will ensure that supporters reach their seats/wheelchair bays and exit the stadium safely. They will guide the supporter to toilet facilities and ensure the supporter is shown back to their seat/bay. They will offer support in the purchase of a range of match day goods, including drink and beverages, 50/50 draw tickets and match programmes. They will also provide support in the purchase of goods from the Saints Shop, ticket office, and match day bar. The Match Buddy will be on hand to distribute blankets to supporters (where requested) and to distribute, demonstrate and collect Audio Commentary receivers and headsets for supporters. The Match Buddy will answer any queries relating to SJFC's accessibility programme and will record any feedback, notifying their Line Manager of such.

Our aim is to be recognised in world football as a sustainable, successful football club, with excellent ties to the local community, proudly representing Perthshire.











Responsibility, maturity and experience required. Element of moving and handling, must have ability to push wheelchairs in all weather conditions & stand for long periods
Experience required: Experience of providing care/support to adults with a range of disabilities including physical disabilities & sensory impairment. Good interpersonal skills, caring, patience, understanding & embracing equality and diversity. Handling certificate an advantage.
Travel details: The Match Buddy programme will be operational at all of St Johnstone FC's home matches taking place at McDiarmid Park. The Match Buddy will be expected to travel to/from McDiarmid Park independently. Reasonable public transport costs to and from McDiarmid Park will be reimbursed and mileage rates can be discussed (within 20mile radius of McDiarmid Park).
