Description

Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers to answer telephone calls for their National Helpline, which is opened weekdays 9am – 9pm.

The helpline, based in Hamilton and Glasgow, is managed by their Area Manager. In 2017 – 2018, their helpline received 14,676 calls from bereaved people, and those calling to enquire on their behalf about Cruse Bereavement services.

Please note that full training will be given – volunteers are expected to take part in all of the five training dates before undertaking this role.

Organisation aims and objectives

We have been established for over 25 years and offer free counselling and advice to all bereaved people in Lanarkshire. Anyone requiring our services should contact our National Line on 0845 600 2227.

Restrictions

Volunteers must be 21yrs or over. Disclosure and 2 references are required.
Experience required: No experience required as full training is provided.
