Description

FABB runs bi-monthly themed activity weekends and mid-weekly holiday activity breaks for a minimum of 20 young people at the Trossachs Tryst, Callander. Our Sessional Chef caters for these groups during these breaks and needs occasional assistance in our kitchen. We are therefore looking for volunteers with relevant food hygiene qualifications, perhaps working towards a career in hospitality and catering, who can give some time over a weekend break to prepare food for our young guests. This is a new volunteer role which will require further discussion before any appointments are made. Please contact FABB directly if you are interested in this role

Organisation aims and objectives

The objects for whicih the comapny is established and the aims and objectives of the Company are: -To empower disabled people to actively engage in the social, leisure and educational activities of their choice. -To encourage the inclusion of disabled people residing in the area of Scotland through the provision of specific programmes and projects or facilitating access to mainstream leisure provision -To increase awareness of barriers to disabled people's participation through the provision of activity specific training and the inclusion of disability awareness in existing training programmes. -To further the inclusion of disabled people into society and to promote the work of organisations which provide membersip on an equal basis for disabled and non-disabled people.

Experience required: For this opportunity it would be helpful to have relevant Food Hygiene qualifications.

Expenses details: Expenses paid on a monthly basis on production of receipts for public transport and mileage allowances subject to role applied for.
