Food Collection Driver

This role requires the volunteer to pick up food from four locations and deliver it to the Care Van kitchen.
The volunteer will need to liaise with the pick-up locations with regards to time and food availability.

Organisation aims and objectives

Bethany Christian Trust exists to relieve the suffering and meet the long-term needs of homeless and vulnerable people. Our vision is that through Christian love in action homelessness will be reduced and vulnerable people empowered to live independently within society. Bethany operates services that take people from homelessness through to managing their own tenancy and building positive friendships.










Collection times are between 5 and 7pm and are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Minimum commitment 2 hours per month. Volunteers usually collect once a month but can do more frequently if they wish.


Experience required: The volunteer must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle. They must be motivated and willing to work independently
Travel details: The volunteer will have to go to four pick up locations across Edinburgh and drop off the food at the Care Van kitchen
Minimum age: 18

Training details: The volunteer will be trained at induction and on an ongoing basis as necessary
