An enthusiastic, organised, socially aware person with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team of volunteers are prerequisites for this interesting role.
Good organisation skills are essential as is a knowledge of basic computer systems and their applications
Reporting to the Session Supervisor.
Assist Manager, Session Supervisor and/or other staff with clerical and administration systems.
Assist with production of information packs, debt packs and marketing and
Assist with keeping bureau records safe, confidential and accessible for future retrieval.
Assist advisers in use of office systems.
Provide administrative assistance in staff recruitment and training programmes.
Provide administrative assistance relating to the bureau’s IT strategy.
Assist with all bureau correspondence procedures.
Assist with research work for the manager and/or other staff as requested.
Operate and control the bureau petty cash system.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Manager.
Peebles and District Citizens Advice Bureau is a local, voluntary advice agency providing invaluable advice, information and support to the citizens of Peebles and Tweeddale. It is an individual, independent charity in its own right, working in partnership and as part of a wider Citizens Advice Network in Scotland and a consortium of CAB in the Scottish Borders. We believe that every citizen should have access to free, impartial and confidential advice that helps them make informed decisions, whenever they need it and however they choose to access it.
Experience required: Good standard of general education.
Work experience in using office systems and procedures.

Training details: In house training will be provided by the Session Supervisor with attendance at bureau training events. Possibility of attending other training provided by Citizens Advice Scotland and other training providers as appropriate.
